Welcome to CaliforniaHOA.Tax
CaliforniaHOA.Tax is a professional tax practice that specializes in California Homeowners Associations (HOA) and their unique tax situations. With decades of collective experience, our tax experts know HOAs, and we will prepare and file all of the necessary paperwork to keep your HOA compliant.
Compared to HOA-specific laws in other jurisdictions, California’s HOA laws are much more in-depth and detailed. CaliforniaHOA.Tax will provide you with a thorough understanding of your HOA’s legal rights and tax responsibilities.
About the tax professionals
CaliforniaHOA.Tax professionals are each IRS Circular 230 accredited as either an Enrolled Agent (EA) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Our tax experts have extensive experience working with the California Franchise Tax Board (FTB) and the California Secretary of State (SOS). Every member of our practice lives in California and holds a Master of Business Taxation from the University of Southern California—our alma mater where we all met.

What Makes Us Different
CaliforniaHOA.Tax specializes in Homeowners Associations located in California. As such, our tax experts are familiar with all the IRS regulations and have years of working with the FTB and the California Secretary of State. Under Revenue and Taxation Code section 23701t, corporate HOAs can apply for tax-exempt status by filing an exemption application using form FTB 3500. If the organization provides the documents required, the FTB will determine if the organization qualifies for tax exempt status.
